Nakabayashi Rima (中林里茉; born Mar 26, 2004), simply known as Rima, is a Japanese singer and the main rapper of the Japanese-Korean group NiziU under JYP Entertainment. She is the daughter of famous hip hop artist Zeebra and Japanese model Miwa Nakabayahi. Rima became one of the winners of the 2020 survival show Nizi Project. She made her debut with NiziU on Dec 2, 2020 at the age of 16.
Rima was born on March 26, 2004 in Japan to Hideyuki Yokoi (father) and Miwa Nakabayashi (mother). She comes from a very successful family. Her father, Hideyuki Yokoi, also known as Zeebra, is a well known recording artist and DJ in Japan and former member of Japanese hip-hop group King Giddra; he is one of the most popular rappers in Japan. Her mother, Miwa, is a famous model. Her paternal great grandfather, Hideki Yokoi, was president of Hotel New Japan and her maternal grandfather was a well known architect. She also has an older sister, Kanon Yokoi, and 2 half brothers, Ren and Kento.
Rima joined JYPE in February of 2019. For her JYPE audition, she performed Good Girl, Bad Girl from Miss A and Irony from Wonder Girls. Later that year, she auditioned to be a contestant of the JYPE survival show The Nizi Project and became one of the nine winners in the competition that formed the final lineup of NiziU. She ranked 3rd place.
