Predebut and Childhood
Hong Eun Chae was born on November 10, 2006 in Seoul, South Korea as the youngest of 2 children. She studied at Seoul Sadang Elementary School, Inheon Middle School, and Seoul Moonyoung Girl's High School. As a child, she practiced rhythmic gymnastics. She became the school president when she was in elementary school and the student council when she was in middle school. She also joined the athletics club.
She joined Def Dance Skool in February 2019 when she was 12 years old. In January 2021, she passed the auditions that Source Music held at Def Dance Skool. Eunchae trained for 1 year and 4 months before debuting with LE SSERAFIM.
2022: Debut with LE SSERAFIM
Eunchae was the last member to be recruited for LE SSERAFIM. She made her debut as the youngest member of LE SSERAFIM on May 2, 2022 at the age of 15.
