Monika Shin

Shin Jung Woo (신정우; born Jun 22, 1986), better known by her professional name Monika (모니카), is a South Korean model, dancer, teacher, and the leader of the dance group PROWDMON. She is known as one of the best underground dancers and the teacher of all dancers. In 2021, she became a participant in the reality show Street Woman Fighter at the age of 35.



She started dancing in her freshman year of high school. Her parents opposed to her dancing in the beginning.



She majored in fashion design and started her career in the fashion industry. However, she didn't find the work in fashion as rewarding so she continued dancing on the side. She eventually quit fashion and started working as a dance instructor.



Monika is currently the owner of a dance studio near Hongik University in Seoul. She has worked as a dance instructor for younger dancers, famous singers, and has taught at universities. She is also the leader of the dance crew PROWDMON.
