Alexander Vincent Schmidt (Korean: Lee Hayoung; born Oct 6, 2004), better known as Alex (알렉스), is a Korean-German model, actors, singer, and a member of the Kpop group DRIPPIN under Woollim Entertainment. Alex was born to a German father (Haiko) and Korean mother (Sophia) in Mainz, Germany. Alex debuted with DRIPPIN in October 28, 2020.



• Age trivia: Alex was 16 years old (international age) when he debuted with Drippin in 2020.
• Alex is the youngest (maknae) member of DRIPPIN. He is the only ’04 liner from the group.
• Alex is the only foreign member of DRIPPIN. He is the first part-foreign memer to debut from Woollim Entertainment. He is half Korean and half German.
• Alex was born to a German father (Haiko) and Korean mother (Sophia) in Mainz, Germany.
• Alex’ mother immigrated to Germany where she met Alex’ father, Haiko. They moved back to Korea when Alex was four years old.
• Alex is the only member of DRIPPIN that did not appear in Produce X 101.
• Alex started as a child model and actor.
• Alex is the first idol of German ethnicity to join the kpop scene. There are other Germans in kpop (although not by blood). YangYang from WayV is considered a German-Taiwanese. Jayden from Luminous is German as well. Huening Kai is rumored to have some German ancestry.
• Alex has starred in multiple fashion campaigns and worked with a lot of brands including: Freepackers, ZZUZZUBAR, Bebenista, Adidas, Bebe and many others.
• Languages: Alex can speak fluent German and Korean. He can also speak English and French.
• Alex was the secret member revealed. He was the last member to be announced.
• Alex has practiced surfing in Australia.
• Alex has two younger brothers named Noah Schmidt and Ariane Schmidt.
• Alex made an appearance on the variety show Star Junior in 2015 at the age of 10 with his dad. Check out the video.
