LE SSERAFIM (레세라핌; 2022) is a 5-member South Korean girl group under Source Music and HYBE. The members of LE SSERAFIM are Chaewon, Sakura, Yunjin, Kazuha, and Eunchae. Kim Garam was part of the original debuting lineup. Her contract was terminated on Jul 20, 2022, following bullying accusations. LE SSERAFIM debuted on May 2, 2022.



History

On January 12, 2022, a profile group with the name LE SSERAFIM was created in Namuwiki under Source Music.



On March 27, 2022, the logo of the group was published on their social media accounts. The phrase "I'm Fearless" was shown as an anagram for LE SSERAFIM.

LE SSERAFIM is composed of 5 members born between 1998 and 2006. Their ages ranged from 15 years old to 24 years old at the time of their debut in 2022. The oldest member is Sakura. Miyawaki Sakura (宮脇咲良) is a Japanese actress and singer. She is a former member of the Japanese group HKT48 and the K-pop group IZ*ONE. She was a participant in the survival show Produce 48 and ranked second place.

Chaewon is the official leader of LE SSERAFIM. She is South Korean and a former member of the K-pop group IZ*ONE along with Sakura. She was a participant in the survival show Produce 48 and ranked 10th place.

Huh Yunjin (허윤진; born Oct 8, 2001) is Korean-American. She was a participant in the survival show Produce 48 and ranked 26th place. She debuted with LE SSERAFIM in 2022 at the age of 20.

Despite being eliminated in Produce 48, she impressed fans with her strong vocals (although not surprising given her opera training background).
