X-NINE (X玖少年团) is a Chinese pop (c-pop) boy group under the label Wajijiwa Entertainment formed through the 2016 Chinese survival show X-FIRE (燃烧吧少年). The group debuted on September 28, 2016 with originally nine members: Zhao Lei, Xia Zhiguang, Yang Xujia, Xiao Zhan, Guan Jiacheng, Wu Jiacheng, Peng Chuyue, Guo Zifan, and Chen Zexi. Chen Zexi left X-NINE.
The X in X-NINE’s name means ‘unknown and infinite possibilites’ and the character 玖 (jiǔ) represents the Chinese folktale, The Nine Sons of The Dragon.
