April (에이프릴) is a South Korean kpop girl group formed by DSP Media. The group debuted on August 24, 2015 and has six members: Chaekyung, Chaewon, Naeun, Yena, Rachel, and Jinsol. Somin left in 2015 and Hyunju left in 2016.
The name April means “the girl you can’t help but love”. The ‘A’ refers to being the best and ‘PRIL’ means lovable girl.
The official fandom name of April is Fineapple, which combines the words ‘fine’ and ‘apple’. ‘Fine’ means good and ‘apple’ is their short version of April and a pun on the word pineapple.
