1THE9 (원더나인; pronounced Wonder ‘Nine’) is a South Korean boy group formed by MBK Entertainment through the 2018 idol survival show Under Nineteen. The group debuted on April 13, 2019. The nine members of 1THE9 are Doyum, Taewoo, Jinsung, Yechan, Yongha, Taekhyeon, Sungwon, Seunghwan, and Junseo.
Under Nineteen was an idol survival show where the participants, all under 19 years old (born in 1998 or after), competed for a position in the final lineup of the K-pop group. The final nine members of 1THE9 were chosen via audience voting during the survival show Under Nineteen.
Contract
1THE9 is a temporary group, not a permanent group. Their contract is only for 17 months, which includes 5 months of training and 12 months of promotion, after which the individual members will return to their respective agencies. On July 16, 2020, their M/V for Bad Guy was released, which was 1THE9’s last comeback before officially disbanding on August 8, 2020
