RIIZE

RIIZE (라이즈; short for Rise & Realize) is a 7-member South Korean boy group under SM Entertainment. They debuted on September 4, 2023.



History

On May 23, 2023, SM Entertainment announced via a video titled "SM 3.0 NEW IP 2023" their plans to debut a new boy group in 2023. Sungchan and Shotaro, who previously debuted in NCT, would be part of the new group. SM Rookies Eunseok and Seunghan along with other unannounced members were first announced to be part of the new boy group.

Eunseok was announced as a new trainee from SMROOKIES on July 1, 2022, along with Shohei, and Seunghan. He was street-casted as a trainee while walking to school. He initially rejected the casting offers because the agent wouldn't tell him the name of the company. He eventually accepted after getting 4 offers in front of his school, at subway stations, and while walking in the street. Eunseok was 22 years old when he debuted with RIIZE.
