SF9 (에스에프나인; short for Sensation Feeling 9) is a nine-member South Korean (K-pop) boy group formed by FNC Entertainment. The group debuted on October 5, 2016 with nine members: Inseong, Youngbin, Jaeyoon, Dawon, Zuho, Rowoon, Taeyang, Hwiyoung, and Chani.

The name SF9 is an acronym for Sensation Feeling 9. The name signifies the hopes that the members have to shock the world with their talent. The 9 stands for the number of members but also has the same sound in Korean as the Chinese character (久) which means length. This reflects the group’s desire to last a long time. The official fandom name of SF9 is Fantasy. To SF9, fantasies are the fulfillment of our hopes, and fans will help fulfill the hopes of SF9.
